We had a wonderful and large group of children and
adults at the Easter Egg Hunt. Mr. Tommy and Mrs. Susan, with
helpers, made sure more than 400 eggs were ready to be hid. While
the younger children were playing Bingo, the teens were hiding the eggs.
Then it was all out as the children raced to find their treasures.
Thanks to Mrs. Bobbie
for finding all the wonderful Bingo prizes! And for preparing a
few hundred of the eggs.
Did you notice how
many adults we had! Thanks to all the adults who helped make it
extremely easy to "play" with all these children. We could not do
it without you!
We had approximately
20 children who stayed for the lock-in, along with several adults.
At the lock-in, we went Midnight Bowling at Rainbow Lanes and had a
really great time. A few of the children had never been bowling,
and it was exciting to watch as they screamed with delight each time
they knocked down the pens. After bowling, we came back to the
fellowship hall and watched a movie -- with popcorn and drinks, of
course -- before settling down for a good night sleep on those "soft"
floors. Mrs. Bridget volunteered to sleep with the younger
children in the nursery. It was a while before we realized her
strategy -- the younger children went to sleep first! The
other adults didn't get to sleep until several hours later!
We enjoy your
children, and we thank you for letting us have them one more time!
Hope to see them next year.
